The relationship between Admark Visual Imaging and Nilpeter, represented by Print and Pack NZ Ltd, started at Melbourne PacPrint trade show in May 2005. Claus Larsen, Nilpeter's Australasian representative was introduced to Admark Imaging's CEO Geoff Wheeler and the pair started discussing the servo solutions Nilpeter could offer.
Initially discussion centred around the FA-3300 Servo. However, it was soon clear to Wheeler that this would not be the product of the future for his company. He liked the FA-4 model, but was not yet convinced that it would suit his requirements. However, as Nilpeter presented the newly developed product in more detail, Wheeler's interest grew.
Wheeler did his homework very well and went on a factory tour on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean to visit all the manufacturers of servo driven label presses. In the end, it was a cooperation between Nilpeter and Print and Pack NZ Ltd, which realized this investment opportunity. Nilpeter was able to put together a press which would allow Admark to effortlessly produce all the products they were looking at.
The FA-4 installed at Admark is a true nine colour servo film press with all the "bells and whistles" that Nilpeter had to offer, allowing Admark to print and convert a wide range of substrates from thin film material to light carton.
The press was installed in Hamilton by Nilpeter's own technicians without any issues after a scare when it was discovered some of the crates had been dropped somewhere during the transport, but the rigid built press withstood the knocks and is today producing labels up to the strict specifications of Admark Imaging.
At LabelExpo in Chicago this year, Nilpeter launched the FB-3300 shaftless servo press which now sees all three press ranges FA, FB and MO with the state-of-the-art shaftless servo drives. This means servo driven infeed, servo driven print stations, servo driven mid feed pacing, and servo driven die stations.
The FA-Line is packed with features which decrease make-ready times like the easy-load plate and anilox sleeve technology and the preset functions which carry out perfect quality repeat jobs very quickly.
With low waste and set-up times reduced to seconds per unit, the FA-Line press provides easy-to-operate, cutting-edge technology.
Third-generation servo-driven press technology, the FA-Line of presses feature a broad range of printing options and the flexibility to handle future printing and converting technologies.
