The new fully servo-driven press, where infeed, all printing units, die-cutting stations and exit pacing are servo-driven. Furthermore the unwind and rewind are also motor-driven. Besides giving less maintenance for the printer, the press gives faster set-up times, better dot-to-dot register, and last but not least it widens the range of materials on which one can print. For instance a standard FB-3300 Servo handles 25 micron film with ease. The well-known attractions of the FB-Line, such as the superior drying capability, allowing printing speeds of 220 m/min. and beyond, remains unchanged.

This transformation - from a line shaft driven press to the world of servo - justifies the new nickname of the press, “the racehorse”.
