Nilpeter leads the way at LabelExpo Americas
North American debut for Nilpeter's latest label and packaging presses at LabelExpo Americas 2006

Nilpeter's booth will occupy 7,500 sq.feet of space (700 sq.meters) making the company one of the largest exhibitors at LabelExpo Americas 2006, held 11-14 September at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center, near Chicago. The event provides the first public showing in North America of Nilpeter's FA-Line, FB-Line and MO-Line series of narrow-web presses manufactured in Denmark and the USA to suit all sizes and types of label and packaging converters.

‘Nilpeter remains at the forefront of the narrow-web industry with an ever increasing global market share’, says Jakob Landberg, sales director. 'We are presenting our latest presses under the company's banner "… your printing partner" , which reflects the company's solution-oriented approach to press manufacturing and customer support. Labelexpo will provide visitors an ideal opportunity to find out more about the many advanced features and technological developments of our latest presses.

FA-LINE
A range of UV-flexo combination presses for a wide range of pressure-sensitive labels and film-based packaging applications, optional for water-based flexo. Direct servo drives control the main operating functions on all FA-Line modular presses to produce either PS labels or film-based packaging with quick changeovers and minimum wastage.

The FA-3 has a maximum web width of 13 inches (330 mm), the FA-4 a maximum web width of 16 inches (410 mm) while the FA-5 has a maximum web width of 20 inches (510 mm), the FA-6 has a 22 inch web width (560 mm). Nilpeter will demonstrate a ten-unit  FA-4 equipped with 100 percent web inspection system from AVT.

FB-LINE
FB-Line modular presses feature ergonomically-designed print units to allow fast adjustments and rapid anilox roll changes. Helical gearing on the print cylinder drives, plus the Instant Registry Response system, give good print quality and low wastage.

The FB-3300A will be demonstrated with eight flexo units and both UV-curing and hot-air drying. Options include screen process and hot foil modules. The FB-Line comprises the FB-2500 maximum web width of 10.75 inches (273 mm), the FB-3300 and FB-3300A with a maximum web width of 13.75  inches (350 mm) and the FBZ-4200 with a maximum web width of 16.75 inches (425 mm). Each can achieve a top speed of 750 ft.minute (228 m/minute).

MO-LINE
Nilpeter introduces the MO-3300 S, a servo-driven version of the popular MO-3300 offset combination press for producing high quality labels, cartons and flexible packaging. Both presses use an open architecture platform design and have a maximum printing width of 13 inches (330 mm). Fast make-readies and an advanced Press Management Center with a large job data storage capability allow for economic operation for even relatively small runs, using either film or paper-based substrates. The platform press will be demonstrated with five offset units, a flexo unit and a rotary screen module based on interchangeable cassettes. Other options include hot foil and cold foil cassettes, as well as a gravure printing module that allows printing with metallic inks, heavy solids and cold-seal coatings.
