The R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award

September 2005. Our President & CEO, Mr. Lars Eriksen, has been selected to be pre-
sented with the exclusive and prestigious prize of R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award at a Galla Dinner in Brussels during LabelExpo 2005. The prize is sponsored by Avery Dennison, the founder of which – R. Stanton Avery – was the inventor of self-adhesive label material. As we all know, Nilpeter is founded in 1919, and since 1981 Lars Eriksen has been the owner and president of Nilpeter. Lars Eriksen has made his company into the world’s leading production plant manufaturing narrow-web printing presses.

Companies performing well are those who are flexible. Basically, Nilpeter's strategy is to standardise anything that can be standardised and specialise in anything that can be specialised in. In order for Nilpeter to stay competitive in the global market, flexibility and efficiency is vital. “Value for money” and “Return on Investment” are other of Nilpeter's major assets to the customers. Nilpeter’s company philosophy is openness, which is a key factor – starting from the offices and production facilities. Another crucial strength at Nilpeter is Innovation! Innovation is a core value to Nilpeter and to Lars Eriksen personally being a true pioneer of innovative ideas. By Eriksen’s profound insight and knowledge of the industry’s call for development, and research in general, he is the true ideal of innovation and has been breaking new ground for years by his comprehensive and versatile thinking. (In 2004 Nilpeter was nominated the prestigious ’Label Industry Award for Continuous Innovation’ at the labelling industry’s largest exhibition in Chicago). Mr. Lars Eriksen is grown up with Nilpeter and is one of the few having formerly been employed in all departments of the company leaving him with a profound knowledge to every single function of Nilpeter. Especially his attention and efforts are directed to R&D and Sales. Naturally Lars Eriksen takes a great interest in Nilpeter. You can say, Nilpeter is his life!
