This time, the setting was the DuPont Grand Prix Cyrel Nordic Award Celebration 2005. And once again, it was a label for a LEGO Group product – printed on one of Flexiket’s Nilpeter F-3000 flexo printers – that scooped the coveted gold medal.

“We have been printing on our Nilpeter F-3000 machines since1992,” relates Bjarne Svensson, Production Manager and joint owner of Flexiket. “These machines are robust and reliable, and provide us with a range of printing technology benefits and options that make our work unique. It is precisely the combination of a remarkably solid, yet highly advanced machine that allows us to keep on accepting new challenges.”

Svensson says that the winning label for LEGO Racers was the result of a close collaboration with LEGO and Reprocentret in Vejle, Denmark, which was also awarded a diploma and a gold medal for its excellent repro work.

“Reprocentret is a fantastic partner – they are completely familiar with both our business and our machines,” stresses Svensson.

As the saying goes, good stories just keep on getting better: Flexiket has just invested in the brand new Nilpeter FA-4, which will be the company’s first flexo machine to feature UV drying.

“So who knows where we can go from here? If we can pick up gold medals using an old Nilpeter model, I guess there are almost no limits to what we can achieve with the new FA-Line,” concludes Bjarne Svensson.
